Chapter 1107: School Has Started

He Xiyan had already spotted her ex-husbands in front of the school gates.

She looked at them calmly and there was no trace of emotion in her eyes.

She wasn’t surprised to see them here.

Naturally, she was no longer annoyed by their presence and she had gotten used to their presence in her life. She would occasionally keep in touch with them by calling them or texting them to consult them on the development of their child. She was even willing to celebrate her children’s birthday with either one of her ex-husbands during their children’s birthdays or on special occasions.

She kept the topic of their conversations restricted to their children because she didn’t want to contact them with regard to any other matter.

“Yan Yan…”

She heard a familiar voice when she walked to the school gates.

She pursed her lips but she didn’t look as annoyed as she had been the year before.

“You should bring Yuan Yuan up to his cla.s.s,” she said calmly as she stared coldly at Mo Yixuan.

Yuan Yuan looked up at his mother and he couldn’t help but ask, “Mom, will you come visit me at my cla.s.s later?”

He Xiyan ruffled his hair and said with a smile, “I’ll come over later. Why don’t you head to your cla.s.s with your father first?”

Then, she walked toward her daughter.

Yuan Yuan had already advanced to his second year of elementary school, so he was more familiar with the school and the administrative matters that must be taken care of on his first day of school. However, Xi Xi had just started elementary school and it was only her first day of school.

Ye Hao couldn’t conceal his disappointment. He felt as though a large rock was pressing against his chest. G.o.d knew how much he had effort he had put in over the past year in order to try to win her heart. However, Yan Yan was still reluctant to interact with him. She didn’t really speak to him either and she was very aloof whenever he tried to get into her good books.

He Xiyan ignored Ye Hao. Instead, she walked up to her daughter, took her hands in hers and led her to the building on the left.

Xi Xi was a.s.signed to room 105. In other words, she was Year One Cla.s.s Five.

Ye Hao froze in surprise as though he hadn’t managed to react in time. It was a while before he followed after them.

“Yan Yan, let’s have a meal after Xi Xi has reported for cla.s.s. Let me know what you’d like to have and I’ll make reservations,” Ye Hao said with a smile as he sidled up to her side.

He Xiyan frowned but she soon said, “You should bring Xi Xi out for a meal but please remember that she should avoid eating heaty or spicy foods.”

She didn’t want to have too much interaction with Ye Hao. She could have gone with him to have a meal with Xi Xi but the timing wasn’t right. She didn’t want Yuan Yuan to think that she was biased toward Xi Xi.

Ye Hao looked a little dejected after she rejected him and he turned away to let out a soft sigh. He wasn’t even sure how many times she had rejected him.

He wondered what he should do in order to improve their relations.h.i.+p.

On the other hand, Yuan Yuan had followed his father to his cla.s.sroom. Many of his cla.s.smates had already gathered in the cla.s.sroom with their parents.

“Mo Lin…”

Several cla.s.smates greeted him the moment he entered. He was very popular in cla.s.s, especially with the girls.

His teachers doted on him as well because he was handsome and did extremely well in cla.s.s, scoring full marks each time. He was an exemplary model student.

Yuan Yuan waved and greeted his cla.s.smates beaming widely. He looked a lot like his father, Mo Yixuan.

He completed the registration process, reported to cla.s.s, paid the school fees, collected Yuan Yuan’s textbooks and uniform… then, it was time to wait for the opening ceremony that would happen at 10 AM.

Mo Yixuan was very familiar with the entire process.

He completed all these processes before it was 9 in the morning.
