Chapter 835: I Won’t Leave You

Both mother and son returned to the Lishui residential area after they emerged from the mall.

Chen Jiahang was mopping the floor at home and this was his second time mopping the floor. He cleaned the house until it was spick and span and not a speck of dust could be seen. He even cleaned the nooks and crannies of the house.

He finally put down his mop when he saw that Yan Yan and Yuan Yuan had come home and poured them a gla.s.s of water.

Yuan Yuan happily accepted his gla.s.s of water and said sweetly, “Thanks, Uncle.”

He Xiyan turned on the television after she had finished her gla.s.s of water and allowed Yuan Yuan to watch his cartoons. Then, she took Chen Jiahang’s hand and led him into the bedroom.

She could feel his warmth through her hand.

“Jiahang…” He Xiyan said as she looked up at the tall man who was also her husband. Although they weren’t legally married, she had already thought of him as her husband and she was willing to spend the rest of her life with him.

Chen Jiahang beamed happily and his smile was extremely innocent, as though he had no troubles or worries.

“Jiahang, I have to tell you something,” she started and paused for a brief moment before she continued, “I’m going to send Yuan Yuan back to Ye City and I might return two or three days later because I want to have a discussion with Mr. Mo. I hope that he would allow Yuan Yuan to live together with us or at least allow the child to come over to stay during winter break.” She gripped his hand tightly and looked at him expectantly. She hoped that he would nod and understand things from her perspective.

She was the child’s mother and she loved Yuan Yuan. She might have lost her memories but she couldn’t severe this biological connection between her and her child.

She had been mulling over this ever since she found out that Yuan Yuan was her biological son.

Jiahang understood what she was trying to say and gave her a slight nod. He expressed that he was willing to raise Yuan Yuan together with her and that he wouldn’t renege on his earlier promises.

“And…” He Xiyan continued, “Aunty w.a.n.g wouldn’t be visiting during this period so you must take care of yourself while you’re home alone. I’ve arranged for Xiao w.a.n.g to accompany you when you head down to the village to pick up and load the goods. He also had a truck license and has 1 year of experience in driving a truck. You’d be able to take turns driving, so it wouldn’t be so tiring for you. If you run into any trouble along the way, please tell Xiao w.a.n.g to call me immediately.”

She reminded him since she had always been running the business. Jiahang could help out in many ways but since he was intellectually challenged, he had practically no foresight and wasn’t able to resolve problems on his own, so she was very worried about him.

Jiahang nodded once more and wrote the word ‘okay’ on her hand. Then, he pulled her into his embrace and hugged her tightly.

He Xiyan allowed him to hold her and she stretched out her hands to circle his waist.

“Jiahang…” she said as she gently patted his back and said softly, “I know you’re worried that I wouldn’t return but don’t worry, I promise that I won’t abandon our family, neither will I ever leave you.”

Her house was her safe haven. She was living life to her fullest in order to have a blissful family.

Chen Jiahang nodded with a smile and revealed his perfect set of teeth. He took her hand in his and traced the words he wanted to say earnestly on her hand, “Yan Yan, I wouldn’t leave you either. I never will.”
