Chapter 2: Legendary Magic

Chapter 2: Legendary Magic

Legendary magic- disintegration!

Tang En"s moved slightly as he silently chanted. A distorted green ray of light flew out from his fingertips and lodged itself within the housekeeper. The moment that happened, his flesh began to rapidly age before dropping off piece by piece. In the midst of all this, the housekeeper continued to howl out in anguish as his voice grew weaker. In the blink of an eye, his body was turned to dust.

As the housekeeper"s clothes floated down, Tommy and the bandits who witnessed this were so terrified they wet their pants.

Although they knew who powerful magicians were, they never expected them to be so terrifying!

Was that level of power still human!?

Fiona was dumbfounded. She herself had previously come in contact with many magicians before, but she dared to swear in the name of the G.o.d of light, Yebrielny, that she"d never seen Tang En"s magic before!

What rank of magic was that?!

And- he didn"t even chant any spell?!

Silent casting!?

And even instant casting!?

Isn"t this a little too unbelievable!?

Tang En felt nauseous after looking at the ashes left by the disintegration. But there were no traces of the body left, so he was able to hold it in.

He quietly felt the amount of mana within his body. Although the information provided in the attribute column was easy to understand, this was reality. He needed to ascertain his body"s current condition.

"Only a portion of my mana was used up. I should be able to quickly recover it all based on my current rate of recovery. Although disintegration is the number one legendary single target spell, but its killing power and magic consumption were proportionate an opponent"s strength. If the enemy was strong, the amount of mana consumed might be too much.

Tang En took a moment to make some calculations. Based on the amount of mana previously used and the rate that his mana was being restored at, he would definitely be able to continue fighting.

Could it be that after being transported to this world, he had become even stronger than he was in game?

This thought made Tang En"s expression turn a little strange.

Level 1 to 9 spells, and even the top tier legendary spells had different mana costs and chanting times. But Tang En had already mastered both silent and instant casting skills, allowing him to directly cast spells without any lengthy preparation.

But he didn"t expect that after being transported to this world, he wouldn"t need to chant any spells.

This was a huge advantage for him.

Although Tang En was silent, Tommy and the rest of the bandits didn"t dare to move a muscle. They had even disregarded any thoughts of escaping.

How could they possibly escape in the face of such a terrifying and powerful magician?

Despair silently spread from within their hearts.

Tang En lifted his head and looked at Tommy. It was only a glance, but it sent a chill up Tommy"s spine.

"Spare-spare me!"

Tommy repeatedly kowtowed on the floor, "Honorable magician! I was wrong! I definitely shouldn"t have planned to harm you! Please spare my life!"

Tang En remained silent as magical power continued to surround him. This time, the distortions in the air caused by magic were even more terrifying. The gra.s.s at his feet had even started to wilt because of it.

When Tommy realized that Tang En had no intentions of sparing him, his expression turned fierce as he let out a growl and sent his sword flying towards Tang En"s stomach!

"Ding!"

Tang En remained motionless. Tommy was unable to break through his defence before he was sent flying by Tang En"s protective shield.

Finger of death-

Tang En pointed a finger at Tommy and a beam of light flew out and hit him while he was in the air. As he cried out, a loud "boom" sounded out and he was torn to pieces. Tang En"s expression changed slightly as his stomach started to churn. This wasn"t like his disintegration spell which left no traces of its victim. Now, flesh filled the sky as scarlet blood formed a mist that shrouded the bandits and a fishy smell of urine filled the air!

Fiona who had seen people die before was much calmer than Tang En. Instead, she was shocked by Tang En"s level of strength; because she"d never seen a spell with this level of lethality!

And she"d once again confirmed it for herself that this magician actually knew silent and instant casting!

Similar to disintegration, finger of death was also a legendary rank single target spell. Although it didn"t destroy an enemy"s equipment, but its effects were much bloodier than disintegration!

Tang En held back the urge to vomit as he unceasingly tried to hypnotize himself. These bandits were willing to commit any manner of crime. If he didn"t kill them, more people would die by their hands. Not to mention the fact that he was the lord of this region, their lives were as good as his!

After a while, Tang En caught his breath as his gaze fell upon the bandits once again. This time round, he had an indecisive look on his face.

The bandits knew that their lives were in Tang En"s hands. They repeatedly kowtowed as they begged for their lives while making various promises.

Seeing the indecisive look on Tang En"s face, Fiona hurriedly said, "Respected magician, these bandits have no conscience and their hands are stained with blood. You definitely can"t spare them!"

Even without hearing that, Tang En who had long since made up his mind no longer hesitated.

There were many dangerous things that lurked beneath Prandall"s peaceful facade. This was something he was very clear about!

He definitely wouldn"t show mercy to his enemies, as that would only be bringing harm upon himself!

"Repent on your sins in these blazing hot flames."

For the sake of impressing Fiona, while at the same time advancing his plans, Tang En deliberately put on a cold and capable front while saying something that sounded incredibly chuunibyou 1. A flame blossomed in his palm. Its temperature was so hot that it started melting the surrounding earth. The area around the bandits was filled with a sea of raging flames. The heat from the blazing fire turned the earth and rocks into gushing waves of red hot lava. These bandits who weren"t experts were burned to ashes in an instant.

Fiona took in a breath of cold air as she excitedly gripped her legs. Her entire body was trembling.

Instant casting firestorm!

He"s able to casually use the rank 4 magic, firestorm!

And he even did it with instant and silent casting!

My G.o.d!

Never did she expect to encounter such an incomparably strong magician in her greatest time of need!

Looking at the bandits who were completely burned to ash, Fiona calmed her emotions with great difficulty and tidied up her beautiful disheveled hair. After taking a deep breath, she walked over to Tang En with a heart filled with reverence. She planned to acquaint herself with this powerful magician.

"Honorable magician, My name is Fiona, Fiona Goldrose. I thank your excellency for saving my life. I would also like to request for your excellency"s name…"

Fiona waited for over half a day with a heart filled with apprehension before she, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, had realized that this respected magician had actually pa.s.sed out while standing.

Tang En had an extremely unsightly expression when he woke up. He was met with utter failure the very first time he"d tried to put on airs.

The shock of burning so many bandits to death at one shot was greater than he"d expected. He pa.s.sed out the moment the smell of burnt meat reached him.

But he felt that he"d be able to bear with it if such a thing happened again.

Suddenly he realized that Fiona was looking over him by his side.

"You"re awake!"

Fiona"s face was filled with joy as she brought over a water bag and said, "Please have some water."

After drinking some water, Tang En asked, "How long was I out for?"

He still remembered that Fiona had tried to protect him previously, so his tone was very gentle.

"Less than half an hour has pa.s.sed. You probably fainted from overuse of your mana."

Fiona didn"t expect this mighty magician to be such an amicable person. Upon realizing this, her heart was filled with joy. If she was under the protection of this mighty magician, not only would she be much safer, she might even be able to restore the Golden Rose family to its former glory.

Thinking up to this point, Fiona"s face was filled with expectation as she asked, "Respected magician, where are you travelling towards?"

"Me…? I"m travelling to my territory."

Tang En walked over and picked up the housekeeper"s clothes. He rummaged through it and pulled out a leather pouch. Within it was his letter of appointment and an a.s.sortment of gold, silver and copper coins.

Fiona was dumbstruck as she stammered out, "You- You"re a n.o.ble as well!?"

A magician? A lord? How"s it possible! Baiyin city definitely wouldn"t agree to such a thing!

Or maybe…

"Are you perhaps one of those rarely seen strong magicians who are unaffiliated?"

Fiona was even more excited now. Magicians who weren"t restricted by the influence of others were very rare, and those who had power were even rarer.

"That"s right."

Tang En casually nodded his head before suddenly frowning,  "Do you know how to get to Ellington?"

"Ellington?"

Fiona was dumbfounded for a moment before she said in a somewhat disappointed tone, "After pa.s.sing through Ladia Hills, just follow the path for a little more and you"ll reach the town of Ellington."

Tang En nodded his head as he recalled a map of the world he previously knew. It seemed like there wasn"t much of a difference between the two.

From the looks of it, it seemed to greatly resemble the world of Prandall within . This could either be a good thing, or a bad thing.

Tang En was filled with both happiness and anxiety. He was glad that the Prandall he saw still looked peaceful and he had the power to protect himself for now. He was certain that his knowledge from Earth would prove useful here. There would be an abundance of things for him to try out within his territory.

What made him anxious was that Prandall had been created by a G.o.d- which meant that G.o.dly magic existed here.

There was also the existence of extremely strong demonic beasts. And based on backstory in game, this world would immediately welcome the forces of chaos…

In a world where G.o.ds existed, anything was possible.

Although he was the strongest magician within the game, he still had to rely on the help of bugs and divine equipments before he was able to rob the giant dragon. But "being the strongest" and "being unequalled" were two different ideas. Furthermore that was in the game. Normally a high level boss would require a strategy involving several hundred to a thousand players.

Now, he was in the real world. In the real world the giant dragon wouldn"t dim-wittedly allow you to get into position. Neither would the boss act like an idiot and only focus its attention on the main tank while allowing you to nuke him with your spells. You can"t revive if you die. The danger present was clear for all to see.

Tang En felt that all this was a huge pain in the a.s.s. There were too many terrifying existences with unfathomable powers. With his current strength, if he accidentally attracted the attention of a G.o.d what followed could only be death!

Perhaps it"d be a good idea to keep a low profile before he gained a better understanding of this world"s true strength.

"Fiona."

Fiona roused her spirits and said in a respectful tone, "Please speak your excellency."

"You don"t need to be so polite. Just call me Tang En."

"How could I possibly do such a thing? You"re an esteemed magician!"

Tang En knew this was due to his previous awe inspiring performance. After pausing for a moment, he said, "Do you know of anyone who is very strong?"

"Of course!"

Fiona"s spirit was roused, "There are many strong heroes!"

"That"s great."

Tang En grinned, "I think we can have a long talk."
