It took me a long while to realise that the cracking of s.p.a.ce was actually something more than a simple reaction between the order of s.p.a.ce and the chaos of entropy.
After all my initial attempts at coating it in pure mana ended up with the entropy simply diffusing in the energy as if keeping it in the air was a forced act, I realised that if I can"t use the energy to prevent entropy from interacting with the order filled matter… I just had to create a vacuum!
But the main problem remained. If I wasn"t a control mage anymore, how the h.e.l.l I was supposed to create the vacuum in the first place?
Thankfully, despite my path being forcefully changed, I was still able to access the spell creation tool. And the only thing that changed, was the fact that I could see two more columns, marked as entropic elements.
Scrolling through the data and comparing the elements between the different columns made me realise that in reality, they were just a d.a.m.n repet.i.tion, with the exception that entropy-bound columns affected only the other entropic elements.
With the beast still dying out to my deployed towers and waiting for their death inside my circle of fire, I couldn"t afford to just play around with them so I retracted my consciousness back to the real world.
THUMP!
Right as I regained my senses, I saw the sky rotate. Only after a moment did I realise that it was me tripping down and lying flat on the floor.
But how the h.e.l.l did I end up like this?
As I tried to move up and scan the surroundings, another THUMP resounded in the whole area.
With my focus switching to the new threat, I lost my control over the fire-core, making it swiftly disappear. As a load of mana still stored in it suddenly forced it"s way back inside my body, the clash between it and the fresh mana still soaking in me from the air was inevitable.
F.u.c.k.
Knowing that I had no time to waste, I ditched the idea of standing up and crawled to the round object in the middle of the floor.
Thump!
Yet another burst of instability shook the entire world, making me fall on my belly once again. With the energy inside me swiftly approaching my limits, I lunged forward with the last bit of my strength before I would be pinned down by this strange weight of the mana and touched the object with my hand.
TRANSFER!
Shouting in my mind, I allowed the mana inside me to flow freely through my veins all the way to the object under my hand.
This wasn"t a perfect solution by no means. As long as energy continued to flow instead of settling up, my body would keep drawing it from the surroundings. The only way to stop it was to slowly tone down the speed of the entire process, to the point where I would be able to suppress it by myself.
Thump!
But there was no way this new enemy would allow me to do that. Just like if disturbing me every second was its primary goal, the shaking continued every time my hand touched the mana storage that I bought from the Stronghold creation tool.
THUMP!
Just as I was about to finally settle the process despite the continued disturbance, the whole tower shook. Before, it was only me losing my balance because of sudden shake, but now, it was the entire land shaking, as if a powerful earthquake struck the land that I grew my tower in.
As if I would ever allow someone to disturb Eve"s sleep!
The moment that realisation of the possible consequences of the current situation struck me, my mind was blinded by the hate.
Instead of being happy with my current growth and new possibilities, with how I managed to avoid the worst and how I was doing my very best to resolve this problem as soon as possible, I could only perceive the cause of this shaking as the threat to be disp[osed of!
With strange energy taking the reins of my body, I suddenly floated in the air with the s.p.a.ce cracking under my feet.
No longer susceptible to the shaking of the ground under my feet, I was finally able to see the cause behind those tremors.
If I took all the beasts that attacked me so far and combined them into one, ma.s.sive, ugly ent.i.ty… it would still be far cuter than the ugly b.a.s.t.a.r.d that was crawling on all fours from the sh.o.r.e towards the tower.
Despite how far he was, every time one of its fins slammed the ground to let him pull its ma.s.sive body a bit forward, the entire land shook as if hit by the meteor.
There was no way I could defeat it as a control mage.
Its body was simply too ma.s.sive, not even speaking about how dense the aura surrounding it was. Considering how troublesome defeating a simple beast like the one I was disposing on left and right just before back when I could only rely on my fireball, I simply lacked enough firepower to hurt it in any way.
Sadly for the beast, my hate infused mind didn"t care about such details!
With the mana boiling in my veins as if it was ready to burst out at any moment and sow destruction by itself, the powerful gust of the energy carried me towards the beast.
None of my actions was directed, planed or rational. I was just following my instinct.
EXPLODE!
Not even thinking about what I was doing, I expelled half of my mana from my body, forcing it to form a long pillar, with the condensed entropy right in the middle of it.
Not bound by the law of material physic, this shot appeared right over the beast almost instantly.
As if the time stopped in the very moment that my mana crashed against the aura of the beast, I could see the core moving forward, while the normal energy remained stuck in the clash.
Unhindered by such mundane things like mana, skin or all sorts of barriers, the edge of entropy just entered the body of the beast, drilling a slim hole in its defences.
With a loud p.o.o.p, all the mana that was put to the stalemate against the aura of the beast suddenly got sucked into the opening, causing the small wound to explode in a gory sight!
