They redacted quickly, with a thrust of the spear and the glavie chopping down towards me. As I had the spell casted though, I was going much quicker than they antic.i.p.ated so both of their attacks missed, but only by a hair"s breadth, I felt the wind coming off of their attacks, messing with my hair. "Damm, that was close. On a hit from any of them, I will be out cold, I can"t afford that, not with them doubting my strength, the arrogant b.a.s.t.a.r.ds. The glaive looks especially nasty though, I better avoid getting hit by it."
I focus back on the fight. The two in the back, had while I was thinking began to rush up to me, at the moment they were just pa.s.sing Belegorn and Halstein. As they pa.s.sed I saw the two polearm users tense slightly, which is odd. It was like they didn"t trust each other, in my head I thought they would have, especially considering they all chose to fight me as one.
Seeing that if I continued to go forward, I would be meeting four people instead of two, I jumped to the side, to avoid what would be a certain loss for me. Landing I rolled to avoid the glavie smashing into the ground where I would have been if I didn"t move.
"That was close."
Hearing my muttering, a smile formed on Belegorn"s face. The glaive that was on the floor, was then shoved along towards me. The tip of it is looking to stab into me. Seeing this I hurriedly moved from where I was, being forced further and further back. After about thirty steps, I smiled.
"You are a bit far from your team aren"t you now?"
He froze then he looked back. In the second that he did, I moved. My sword left behind images as it moved. I dealt to quick but light slashes to his chest, before a heavy stab right into the spot that the slashes met. This caused him to stumble back, but not knock him down and out.
Frowning slightly as that combination should have finished him off, I moved forwards being careful of his glavie which was moving around erratically as he was going back. I couldn"t be too careful though, as I wanted to finish him before he had help arrive.
Getting in close to him, while ducking under a blow from the glaive, I pushed him with my shoulder, sending him smashing to the floor. As he was down, I finished him with a chop, onto his temple. The blow was so strong, it caused him to start to bleed, but did the trick and knocked him out.
"I would be sorry, but d.a.m.n you all. You are making this so hard for me."
By the time I had finished him off, Oswald had caught up and arrived. Taking a seemingly basic stance. He sent out two jabs to my face. They were quick. Really quick. I didn"t even have a chance to react and was forced to take them head on.
The blows were hard. It left my head ringing a bit and I could feel, blood dripping down my face. This angered me.
"How dare you! You d.a.m.n b.a.s.t.a.r.d! All of you are! I will destroy you!"
My body felt like it was an inferno. My blood especially. It was like it was boiling. A similar thing had happened to me before. This time it was worse and I lost complete control of my body. Not complete control, more like I knew what I was doing but was being influenced to fight harder. To kill.
The feeling slowly taking control, had a mind of its own. A style of fighting of its own. I casted lots of spells seamlessly, putting my body in a full state of enhancement, then my weapon, this way I would be now, putting out my full power.
Then I saw some words in my head and muttered them, not that I had any idea what it meant. All I felt was the feeling in my body cool, then the feeling the heat, it exploded. My whole body felt like it was on fire.
As my eyes looked around, I saw a reflection in the window. My eyes had gone red. Not like normal red. They crimson red. The colour of blood . I then focused on Oswald. I smashed his head with the pommel of my sword. He went down, but as he was going I landed a kick straight into his abdomen, this led to him coughing blood.
Then, I moved over him. Slowly advancing forward watching the three remaining fighters. Thenel,Gram and Halstein. They had formed up, so that Gram was in the centre and the others scattered around him, but they were close together and didn"t seem willing to move for me now.
I moved around them trying to find a weak spot, but as I did, they roasted so I was always seeing the same thing. That only left me one option, to charge at them.
So I did. I sprinted stargt for Gram, preparing to stab into his shield. Seeing me coming, he prepared a block. Almost completely hiding behind the tower shield that was in his hand. As I reached him, stead of stabbing him like I had made out that I would, I used his shield as a step and valued over them all, landing behind Halstein. As I landed I sw.a.n.g round, with my sword slashing as I did. Supported from the moment of my rapid turning, the sword smashed into his side.
This wounded him, then I followed this up with multiple slashes. All I could see was after images, not even I knew how many times aty slashed at him before he collapsed. I had heard multiple cracks though, so I had probably broken multiple of his bones in the process.
This only took a few seconds to occur. In that time, no one had reacted to what I did. As Halstein collapsed I grabbed his spear with my empty hand. Using it, I stabbed into Grams back, pushing him away from the others. Running after him, I brandished my swords a few times. This ended with him collapsing to the floor out cold.
Finally I stopped and turned around, to the remaining opponent, Thengal and his two axes.
Thengal face was ashen, he had just worsened me destroy the other two in mere seconds. To my surprise, he started to cast multiple spells, enhancing himself like I had done. But he stopped short of enhancing his weapons, so in terms of magic I had a slight advantage still. Now though, the gap that was between us had been greatly reduced.
We rushed at each other at the same time. Using the advantage of range that my sword gave me, I tried to keep out of his attack range by mainly using stabs only getting occansialy getting in closer, when I saw an opening for a quick slash. But to my announcement he used his axes effictly blocking my attacks and more often than not, would use the advantage of him having two weapons and would launch a slash to me, with the free axe he had.
We had seemingly entered a stalemate, which for me was bad, as I knew from experience that I could only keep up this spell for so long and once I had dispelled it, I would be at a serious disadvantage.
To my surprise though, Thengal went on the offensive. He came at me and at the same time he threw the axe his left hand at me. This forced me to dodge as we were so close, I would have no time to move to block the attack.
By the time I had recovered from the dodge he was on me. His axe slashing wildly all over. There was no structure, no technique to his axe blow, they were random and all over. Some people would say that this would make it easier to fight against. But it definitely wasn"t. His axe blows were coming in so quickly, that I had no chance at all to look where to attack, let alone attack. All I could do for now was focus on doging all of his strikes and avoid losing.
Feeling that my mind was starting to ache, I realised that the time for me to stop casting the spell was here. At that moment I thought of one last idea that could win me the fight.
I dropped my sword making me a bit quicker, then after dodging his next blow, I jumped at him. Dispelling the enhancement spells I had casted. This caused me to slow down a little bit, but not by much as I was already in the air and the momentum I had couldn"t be stopped.
He wasn"t able to react at all as I hoped. So I was able to tackle him to the ground unhindered. Ending up on top of him. I got up quickly, smashing his face with my fist over and over, so that he had no chance to recover and win. I didn"t stop at all, not even when his face was bloodied and nose most certainly broken. What called me out of my rampage, was being smashed on the back of my head with something.
Looking back, I saw that it was Usha. She had hit me with a sword on the back of my head. Her face was mortified. All I could see was fear.
"Adoh. What have you done? Stop! You are killing him!"
Her words caused that influence over me to vanish as if it was never there. I looked around at their bodies. All of them.
"Oh G.o.ds! What have I done?"
