Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

Chapter 135

It"s hard to imagine her sister knowing such a person. But, quite some time has pa.s.sed since Shaarya last saw her, so who knows? The last few years, Shaarya didn"t visit home at all. It"s not that she couldn"t, her academy isn"t that strict. But it was more to do with the fact that she refused to do so. Shaarya would not let Mother and the rest of the family continue acting like terrible people. When she was old enough to understand her sister"s situation, Shaarya left home. No matter what Shaarya said to try to convince them to change their minds, they didn"t.

So Shaarya refused to stay in the Mist Kingdom. She picked an academy that"s in between the sun and rain Kingdom. A reasonably decent village, with an excellent academic school that provides military training too.

Even if she was making a point, Shaarya didn"t want to sacrifice her skills.

But perhaps leaving home was a mistake. All the power that is meant for all three Princesses fell in first sisters" hands. Even the power that was meant for her. Maybe she should consider going home after this. Shaarya wanted to check up on her sister and discuss things properly with eldest brother.

Her thoughts broke off when she hears a tap in the window. At first, she rolled over and ignored it. But it got louder and louder. Shaarya abruptly stood up and left the bed as she walked over to the balcony area. It can"t be the kidnappers, right? They"d enter through the front door. There are no weapons in this room, so if it is an attacker - may be a double kidnapping, then she would not be able to defend herself. The reason why Shaarya got kidnapped in the first place was because of that careless man"s mistake.

The one who had his sisters scent. Shaarya asked him whether he knew where Prince Erelands mansion is. Shaarya did not think he would sell her out like that. A deep sigh escaped her lips, this is what she gets for trusting people easily. But if the man didn"t smell like his sister, then she probably wouldn"t have been so trusting either.

Cautiously, Shaarya unlocked the balcony, the moment she did though a man collapsed into the room. Wait, wait? Who is this? The man had maroon colored hair and unusual brown eyes. Is he from the east? The sound outside grew louder, so Shaarya quickly closed the balcony door and ensured nothing was out of place. She walked over to the window and pulled the curtains. Shaarya turned to the man collapsed on the ground. Now then, what does she do here?

Her gaze flickered onto his right shoulder covered in blood.

…...
When Shaarya reentered the room with the necessary things, she noticed that the man was awake. According to the guards standing outside, "The master has instructed for you to remain here as a guest. So, if you need anything, please tell us," Shaarya wondered if Prince Ereland figured out who she was. Or maybe he"s actually kind to women? Shaarya didn"t know, but one thing was for sure. Aside from not being able to leave, at least she could live as a guest and not a prisoner.

It was a shame, though, Shaarya wanted to see how they treated their captives. She most likely won"t get this chance again in the future.

"You"re awake, let me finish treating your wounds?"

The man didn"t respond and spent the next few seconds looking at her. Her sweat fell; he isn"t a mute right? Shaarya shook her head and put the basin of water down on the bedside table. The man had already removed his s.h.i.+rt, exposing the wound. It"s better than compressing it, but it must be painful just moving around. She carefully took out the kit of medical supplies.

Just now, when she saw this man covered in blood. Shaarya almost used "that," on him. But when she recalled the last time she tried, Shaarya immediately stopped. There is a reason why it"s a royal family secret

"You look like Lyn," the man murmured.

Shaarya"s eyes widened at his words. It could be any Lyn, but in the Empire, how many people have that time? Seldom any. That"s why when those rumors came around. Shaarya knew those people were talking about her sister. While her second sister lives an isolated existence from the world. There are a selected few who knew of her existence. After all, sister is engaged to the Wind Kingdom"s Prince Allen. Rather than talk to eldest brother about her sister, maybe it would be better to ask him.

Eldest brother Andrew cares about sister, that much Shaarya could understand. But at times he would get the same look in his eyes that Mother and First sister have. Shaarya didn"t want to take any risks. Ever since she moved out, Shaarya took careful measures so people would not find out who she is. However, right now, she will take the biggest risk ever.

"Princess Lyn of the Mist Kingdom?"

The man seemed equally surprised but then nodded, "Yeah, do you know her?"

"She"s my sister."

Shaarya knew this was an even bigger risk. There are a selected few, who knew of her sister"s existence and there are those who have stumbled upon her by accident, or those who eldest sister hired. While this man looks like a friendly person, she can"t be too judgemental.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt his hand ruffle her hair, a bright smile on his face. "I thought as much, Shaarya right? I came here to rescue you."

Ah--- Shaarya"s eyes widened, "what a gentle person," his words and his eyes. The girl immediately understood that this man meant no harm. She took a deep breath, "And you are?"

"Kazuya."

Shaarya froze when she heard that name. While she may not have paid a visit home in so many years. Shaarya corresponds with her brothers often, especially second brother Kotaro. Well, it"s more one-sided. He"s always sending her letters. Due to his persistence, Shaarya simply ignored them.

The recent letters, however, Shaarya replied to them instead of ignore. According to her second brother, there"s a man named Kazuya who became her sister"s boyfriend. When she heard the news, Shaarya thought he was just joking around with her.

Boyfriend? Her sister? It"s impossible. Shaarya knew the case with the Sound Kingdom; things are very delicate now. Even if her sister befriended them, she would not cross that line. So either the man named Kazuya seduced her, or the two are just friends. This man is very kind, there is no doubt about it. But, perhaps underneath that smile, he has hidden motives?

"Um, pardon me, but what is your relations.h.i.+p with my sister?" Shaarya asked. It can"t be that "Kazuya," right?
